Did you know today marks the fist day of the Summer Season? Yippie, it’s finally here, let’s get this Summer going.
Summer time is vacation time, which means traveling, restaurants, and souvenirs. To save time and money on your Summer fun vacations or staycations do research on the places you plan to visit.
amusement parks: visit their website for specials, coupons and offers. A place I often see coupons for amusement parks and attractions is major fast food restaurants like McDonald’s Burger King, Wendy’s and the like. Look for the display boxes in the restaurant for money-saving coupons. Pick up enough for each person in your family or going on your trip. If the coupon is good for one per family, let each person pay separately to take advantage of the savings. Be creative with your stacking coupons and check out individually if need be.
Is this making you hungry? A great deal for on the go adventures this Summer.
restaurants: online sites and newspapers are great places to check for coupons, even away from home pick up the local paper for coupons or ads announcing specials.
Shops, the boardwalk is full of souvenir and gift shops. If you are staying at a hotel or motel, visit the lobby racks for tourist books, coupon books, or local freebie newspapers. This is the place I hit first before we even get to our room. Load up yourself with these brochures and catalogs to find out where the deals are.
Staying local: don’t overlook your local stores, library and chamber of commerce to pick up coupons, deal booklets and special event calendars. There are tons of free happenings in your area such as outdoor movies, fireworks, parades, concerts, and library activities. Make a call or visit to your local, county, and state’s tourism department to plan you Summer of free fun for the family. Grab a calendar and fill it up with free activities to do this Summer.
