Do you want to see some really big horses pulling wagons? How about beautiful cows, cute rabbits, wooly sheep and all kinds of farm animals? Well, if you are interested, the Pennsylvania Farm Show is going on now through January 12, 2012. Admission is FREE, you will have to pay to park. I believe it is $10 a car, so load up the car and head over Harrisburg, PA.
Tips for your visit to the farm show:
Take cash along to shop at the market where all foods and goods are made in Pennsylvania. Try the Pancake syrup and mix for pancakes. Yum! Stop at the food area with the best, and I mean best milkshakes on the planet. There are other options to have for meals as well. All Pennsylvania grown foods for meal or snack time is also available in the prepared food area.
Wear comfy shoes, take breaks and hydrate. Take your time, enjoy, learn and explore the show. There are animals, exhibits, demonstrations, displays, and freebies to pickup such as pencil, magnets, yard sticks and the like from vendors.
Take your camera, snap a few photos of the kids or yourself on the tractors on display. It’s a sea of green and yellow as far as the eye can see. There are tires as big as yourself, so have fun and take photos of the show.
